Sumac Ayllu Yanque association was formed on 2009, with the help of various organizations. This innovative accommodation idea was made possible to offer rooms to travelers that are interested in sharing a more authentic experience with the people local to this region. It currently consists of four family homes that are very happy to share their food, customs, traditions, working days and lives with their guests; this is like becoming a resident of Yanque.

This is still a new accommodation option, but the families are hoping to gain extra income to support themselves and create a better way of life for their children.
