The Colca Experience

Colca Canyon Private Tour. The trip will begin on the path that leads us to the highest part of Arequipa and we will arrive at the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca. Here, travellers can appreciate the beauty and innocence of the vicunas, which are now much happier since hunting them has been banned. At 4200 meters, the top of our journey, we will witness a breathtaking view of the Andes from the Volcanoes viewpoint, or called Patapampa.

Then, there will be a descent into the Colca Canyon, reaching the town of Yanque for lunch and a brief rest. The group will then continue on a walk through the most representative area of Yanque Chininia Bridge and it´s Colcas, the ancient town of Uyu Uyu. Participants will have the opportunity to finish our trek with a relaxing dip in the hot springs of Chacapi.

We going to past this night in Killawasi Lodge or similar hotel.

On second day, we awake early to start the trip to Condor Viewpoint ans see this magical bird adn know some tipycal towns. Return to lunch (not included on the price).

By night, we visit the Local Museum on Mr. Gerardo´s house, excellent place to know the real Cabana culture.

Third day, we go to Chivay to make some shopping in it´s handicrafts market, visit the local market, after lunch (not included on the price) take the bus to Puno (ticket is not included on the price), or return to Arequipa.

It is advisable to wear a hat, sunscreen, bathing suit, light clothing and some warm clothing for the night. We recommend bringing a camera or video recorder.
